Great Britain took ever the Egyptian region and the Suez Canal which lets them trade with their other controlled area of India.The East India Company, under British Rule, controlled over three fifths of India.The main idea of the company was to make money but they did balance out the some stress between different religions by making them work together and accept the other religions. Indian natives tried to resist when their beliefs were tested with new rifles that were issued to them. The rifle cartridges were coated in animal fat from pig or cow which were sacred or forbidden to certain religions. Positive effects of Imperialism in India are peace for the country, the taking away of the caste system and promoting justice, better railroad systems helping the economy, a public school system for the Indian children and a new postal system for better communication.
Negative effects of Imperialism is the Indians having an ever lasting hate for the British, and the destruction of some Indian culture that will never be able to be reinstated.
